n your comedy craft? “Continued Coaching” will push you to write smart
er material\, help hone your comedic voice\, and figure out your persona.
Write new material every week and get feedback on your work from instructo
rs and peers. Meet a new network of people who have similar goals to you a
nd find a new open mic buddy. Let’s set aside that time to work on your
craft in a low stakes environment with firm constructive criticism to help
you move forward toward your comedy goals. Must have completed Comedy Ple
x Stand Up One or have been performing Stand Up for at least one year. Stu
dent perks include: -Free tickets to all Comedy Plex shows during the clas
s session -Discounts on soft drink\, and water at the Comedy Plex bar Abou
t your instructor: Angie McMahon is a veteran of the Chicago Improv and Sk
etch comedy scene. She has been teaching sketch writing and stand up at th
e famed Second City for 11 years. She founded CIC Theater\, where she was
the Executive Director and Board President for 13 years. Her comedy Festiv
al “Snubfest” ran for 11 years with such amazing alumni like TJ Miller
\, Cameron Esposito\, and Josh Johnson to name a few. Notable sponsors of
the festival included MySpace Comedy\, Audible\, RoofTop Comedy\, Mikey O
Productions\, Zanies\, Laugh Factory\, Lincoln Lodge\, and the Comedy Bar.
