d Up Wednesday Nights 6:00pm - 7:30pm First class December 4th at 6pm! The
re will be a two week holiday break\, so classes will be 12/4\, 12/11\,12/
18\, 1/8\, 1/15 **Graduation Show Wednesday 1/22 at 7pm** Free for family
and friends. Description: This class is for beginners and seasoned comics
looking fully flesh out their stand up bits and work on writing. Wether yo
u just want to have some fun\, or pursue a career in stand-up comedy this
class is for you. Get more comfortable on stage\, and in front of groups.
Learn the ins and outs of joke writing\, and what works for you the comedi
an. Learn what bookers are looking for\, and how to get booked at any come
dy club. Learn how to host a show\, so that you are always in demand as a
comedian. OR\, just be the funniest person at every social gathering you'r
e invited to. All of this culminates in a show for family\, friends\, and
the general public on a REAL comedy club stage. Student perks include: -Fr
ee tickets to all Comedy Plex shows during the class session About your in
structors: Angie McMahon is a veteran of the Chicago Improv and Sketch com
edy scene. She has been teaching sketch writing and stand up at the famed
Second City for 11 years. She founded CIC Theater\, where she was the Exec
utive Director and Board President for 13 years. Her comedy Festival “Sn
ubfest” ran for 11 years with such amazing alumni like TJ Miller\, Camer
on Espisito\, and Josh Johnson to name a few. Notable sponsors of the fest
ival included MySpace Comedy\, Audible\, RoofTop Comedy\, Mikey O Producti
