 Ages 9 - 17 Saturdays from 10am to noon Starting September 6th Student Per
 formance - October 11th at 4pm Step into the Spotlight! Our stand-up comed
 y class is designed to help kids discover their comedic voice and build co
 nfidence on stage. Through interactive exercises and games\, students will
  learn: *The basics of joke writing *How to find humor in everyday life *S
 tage presence and delivery skills *Improvisation techniques to think on yo
 ur feet *How to overcome stage fright This class is perfect for kids who l
 ove to make people laugh\, want to boost their confidence\, and explore th
 eir creativity in a supportive and fun environment. Students must bring a 
 notepad and writing utensils to every class. Student perks include: -Free 
 tickets to all Comedy Plex shows during the class session (must be accompa
 nied by an adult over 21) About your instructor: Jonathan Keaton is a memb
 er of the Screen Actors Guild\, an alum of the Second City National Tourin
 g Company. He has instructed both adults and children at Naperville School
  of Performing Arts\, Paramount School of the Arts\, Dream Big\, American 
 Eagle\, Second City Training Center and is currently the Director of the T
 heater Department at Steps Dance Center. For the past decade he has focuse
 d on helping young/new performers use their voice and perspective on stage
 .
