  Part of Comedy Plex’s mission is to create a safe and welcoming environ
 ment for all communities to learn\, watch\, and enjoy the art of Stand-Up 
 Comedy. To that end we have created a class JUST for women. A like-minded 
 community of ladies to learn the art of Stand-Up Comedy with. Are you some
 one who has an office job where you do a lot of presentations? Would you l
 ove to make your talks livelier? Are you looking to meet folks and be more
  social? Have you ever dreamed of you on stage\, commanding the room. The 
 mood is yours to set\, the crowd is yours to captivate? The good news is a
 ll of you are in the same boat. You want to give stand up a try\, but don
 ’t know where to start. This class is perfect for you. Learn how a joke 
 is written and why it is funny. Feel more confident in front of people. Me
 et new people with a love of comedy. And at the end of the session\, you w
 ill get to perform the comedy you wrote in front of your friends and famil
 y. You will learn about different types of humor. Like observational\, cro
 wd work\, act outs and more. You will also walk away with knowledge of how
  to start your journey after class and what steps you need to take to book
  that first paid show. Not to mention a new network of friends to go to op
 en mic’s with as you break into the scene. Student perks include: -Perfo
 rmance in front of a LIVE comedy club audience. -Free tickets to all Comed
 y Plex shows during the class session About your instructor: Angie McMahon
  is a veteran of the Chicago Improv and Sketch comedy scene. She has been 
 teaching sketch writing and stand up at the famed Second City for 11 years
